The final cover for Butcher Knives & Body Counts: Essays on the Formula, Frights, and Fun of the Slasher Film has just been released.
The good people at Dark Scribe Press have been working on this massive anthology of horror film essays for quite awhile now, and I have been fortunate enough to be included among the seventy-plus contributing authors, including personal favorite Jack Ketchum. There are going to be a lot of authors and filmmakers swinging opinions and critiques around in here, so it should make for an engrossing and entertaining read.
The latest news from editor Vince A. Liaguno still has the release date set at October, 2010, and there are already book signings lined up in Manhattan (at the Book Expo America) and Long Island (at the Stoker Award Weekend) the following spring. With over seventy authors, that’s going to make for one action-packed book signing! Keep your schedule open, I’m looking forward to seeing you there.
